Wannabe Despot Obama agrees.
Via Freedom’s Lighthouse:
Here is raw video of New York Democrat Rep. Kathy Hochul (NY CD-26) being asked at a Town Hall Meeting yesterday [2/24/12] (by Freedom’s Lighthouse reader “Brad!”) where the Constitution allows the Federal Government to require a “private or religious organization to pay for anything for free?”

Town Hall participant ‘Brad’: Under what portion of the Constitution, is the government allowed to require a private or a religious organization to pay for anything for free?
Rep. Kathy Hochul: Well, basically, we’re not looking to the Constitution on that aspect of it.
(The crowd explodes in disgust)
THP Brad: Oh..Ok
Houchul: What I’m trying to say is basically, the decision has been made by this congress [Correction: The Democrat controlled congress prior to the 2010 midterms, when they were usurped by "we the people" in a historic shellacking] that American citizens are entitled to health care because the teachings that I was raised on [say what??] that we take care of the poor. [A fine sentiment but the topic is the Constitution asshat]
THP Brad: We are also entitled to the freedoms under the first amendment of the United States Constitution. That comes before any other freedom.
Houchul: Sir I agree with you. [Riiiight]
THP Brad: So then we have to look at the Constitution.
Houchul: We have religious freedom. I will stand and protect religious freedom. You are absolutely correct. But I don’t see a conflict here when Catholic churches are exempted from this. In my mind there’s not a conflict because Catholic churches are exempt from this requirement [mandate].
THP Brad: Catholic hospitals are religious organizations mam. Catholic colleges are religious institutions.
Houchul: Then they can go to an outside surrogate. Catholic institutions are being told if they have a problem with this they the ability to have their insurance provider to provide it for FREE….
THP Brad: They’re still paying for it.
Houchul: The access is still there without trampling on the religious freedoms, that we all treasure.
THP Brad: Then why don’t we provide access to band-aids or cancer screenings? Why is it contraception? Aren’t those more important to health care than contraception?
(That brilliant line of questioning earned Brad a hearty round of applause)
Houchul: Well clearly more work needs to be done, you are raising excellent points? [What? Free EVERYTHING?]
